Is saving energy on your agenda?
Over the past few years, the ‘Energy tax’ (or Climate
Change Levy), has placed new demands on business to save energy or face
hefty energy bills. Creating sustainable energy efficiency throughout the
workplace has therefore become a key goal on every maintenance manager’s
agenda.
Industry sectors such as the compressor, lighting and heating industries
have all made head way in producing sophisticated control solutions that
will effectively manage their products in the most energy efficient manner.
However, many suffer problems of integration with other manufacturer’s
equipment. Moreover, none of these control systems have the ability to integrate
the energy management and control of other common services and processes
within a customer’s factory. Ultimately the customer’s only
option has been to have separate energy control systems for each area, one
for their compressors, one for their boilers and so on.
Simultaneously
save time, energy and money across all your processes
Compressor Care is pleased to announce the launch of a unique
and innovative product, the Compressor Care Energy Controller. This sophisticated
energy controller can effectively audit, optimise and visualise a variety
of processes including a sites; compressors, boilers and pumps.
This revolutionary controller will save the customer energy (its key job!)
but by managing each process simultaneously it keeps investment cost to
a minimum as the customer only needs one controller to manage all the
processes. There is now no longer any need to have multiple controllers
separately managing each process!
How it works
The Compressor Care Energy Controller enables a three way communication
that effectively links the chosen processes, for example the compressors,
pumps and boilers simultaneously with the Compressor Care Energy Controller.
The Controller then links with chosen reporting applications, for example
a PC (on site or remote) or handheld software to report on system efficiency.
This system ensures that all processes linked to the Compressor Care Energy
Controller are simultaneously managed. It automatically optimises each
process as and when demand changes require. The result is that only the
most energy efficient production of, for example, compressed air is created.
The Compressor Care Energy Controller then links information on efficiency
to the remote applications chosen. For example these reports can be sent
from the controller to a PC or handheld device. This enables the customer
or Compressor Care to visualise system efficiency reports. Alarms for
process requirements can also be flagged through this way, which for example
would alert Compressor Care to process inefficiencies which needed to
be addressed. This once more ensures the system is continually monitored
and improved to ensure sustainable energy efficiency.
The diagram below demonstrates the sophisticated nature of the Compressor
Care Energy Controller.
